California Adopt-a-Pet Day is June 7th, 2025

We invite you to be part of California Adopt-a-Pet Day on Saturday, June 7, a statewide event that brings together over 150 shelters to help find loving homes for 5,000 pets in just one day. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact, raise awareness for your shelter, and help animals in need find loving homes.

Why Should Your Shelter Participate?

Waived Adoption Fees: The ASPCA in partnership with CalAnimals will be providing grants to cover the waived adoption fees for most participating organizations. Equine adoption fees are covered up to $500.	Thousands of Potential Adopters: By joining this statewide event, you’ll be able to connect with thousands of potential adopters across California who are excited to find a new companion.
Boost Your Shelter’s Visibility: This event will be promoted across California, increasing visibility and attracting more adopters to the participating organizations.	Support for Your Team: We’ve got your back with all the tools and resources you need to make the event a success for your shelter.
