Several California animal shelters are waiving adoption fees and extending summer hours to promote pet adoptions on June 7th for California Adopt-a-Pet Day. The San Diego Humane Society is joining other shelters across the state in waiving fees for all adoptions on June 7th. They are also extending their weekend adoption hours until 7 p.m. at all their campuses through October 25th, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
