Ventura County Animal Services will participate in the second annual California Adopt-A-Pet Day, joining more than 150 animal shelters across California, for a free statewide adoption event on Saturday, June 7.

All adoption fees will be waived during this one-day event, and every adopted animal will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and flea-treated.

“With our Ventura County shelters operating in a constant state of overcapacity, this adoption event couldn’t come at a better time,” said Esteban Rodriguez, director of Ventura County Animal Services. “We have dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small animals waiting for loving homes—everything from playful puppies and lovable kittens, and affectionate seniors.” Read more
