The Butte Humane Society was one of over 150 state animal shelters participating in 'Adopt-a-Pet-Day' on Saturday.

Hosted by the California Animal Welfare Association, the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and the ASPCA, the event waived adoption fees for all shelter pets at participating shelters.
