On Saturday, June 7, Contra Costa Animal Services (CCAS) will join more than 150 California animal shelters in holding free adoption events as part of the second annual California Adopt-a-Pet Day, hosted by the California Animal Welfare Association (CalAnimals). The event’s festivities will include free adoptions of shelter  pets ($25 licensing fee may apply) and fun activities throughout the day.
