On Saturday, June 7, join CalAnimals, the San Francisco SPCA, and the ASPCA for the second annual California Adopt-a-Pet Day! Help us reach our goal of finding loving homes for 5,000 pets across the state. With more than 150 animal shelters participating, this is your chance to meet your perfect match.
On June 7, animal shelters across the state will waive adoption fees*, thanks to ASPCA grants covering costs for most participating organizations.
Shelters routinely vaccinate, spay/neuter, and microchip animals before adoption. As a result, adopting means families and individuals are getting a pet who has already received initial medical care that is appropriate for their species.
Thousands of adoptable pets across California are ready to enrich your life! With a wide variety of species, breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, there’s a pet ready to fit your lifestyle.
*Equine adoption fees covered up to $500
